The Final Zone project

Image speaks itself. gimp-paint-studio package just got an metainfo needed for Gnome Software Center as add-on for Gimp based on related Richard Hughes' blog . The updated package will be shortly available in Rawhide and also in Fedora 21 updates-testing repository . It will not be included for Fedora 20 due  to the preview release of Gnome Software lacking addons support. Next step will be contacting upstream adding that metainfo.  Hopefully other add-ons maintainers for applications such as Inkscape and Blender will do the same to bring a richful experiences to users.

It appears GMIC is now available in Fedora repository meaning it will be included in Design Suite 21 as replacement of the obsolete GREYstoration by default. That plugin is very useful for the excellent tutorials from Pat David who also contributed to the GMIC project thus removing the need to manually compile and install it.

English The current maintainer of Gimp package for Fedora, Nils Philippsen, has opened gimp-unstable repository which I recommend to use.  You can view all the details on the development mail list . My own version will still be available for users wanting to keep it. English New development release of Gimp 2.7.3 is now available in rpm format for only Fedora 15 and above. This new version requires higher release of babl and gegl which are sadly not found on Fedora 14 and below. Please read the release note . English Gimp 2.7.2 is now packaged for testing on only Fedora 15. Unfortunately for Fedora 14 users, this application requires higher release of babl and gegl which will come soon. Francais Grâce aux aides de Drago01 et Mamoru Tasaka, le paquet Gimp 2.7.1 est disponible sur koji pour évaluation. Notez que cette version remplace la version courante (2.6.9) si installée. English Thanks to Drago01 and Mamoru helps, Gimp 2.7.1 package is available on koji for testing purpose. Be in mind this package will replace the existing installed Gimp.

Drawing straight to the tablet on Gimp 2.6.7. No GEGL used. Not sure if I should go to paint or more realistic.
